The Model 27-8 is the re-introduced, current production, new Registered Magnum manufactured by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center and commissioned by Lew Horton Distributors. It reintroduced the tradition of the original Registered Magnum with state of the art technology. The new revolver has an 8 round cylinder and is accompanied by a certificate which closely resembles the original certificate of the Registered Magnum. The certificate confirms the barrel length, sights, finish and grips. The certificate is not serial numbered and it is signed by Lew Horton and the President of Smith & Wesson. This revolver features a pinned front blade sight with a gold bead, adjustable rear sight, finely checkered top rib and top strap, serrated grip straps, casehardened serrated target trigger, checkered target hammer and fancy checkered hardwood grips with S&W medallions. It is equipped with a hammer lock, with the key hole located on the left side of the frame just above the cylinder release. Just below the cylinder release, the frame is marked with the Performance Center logo. The standard markings are on the right side. The left side of the barrel is marked "S&W .357 MAGNUM" and the right is marked "SMITH & WESSON". Only 250 Model 27-8 revolvers were manufactured in each barrel length and noting the serial number, this revolver was obviously one of the first made. Complete with an aluminum combination locking Performance Center case, test casing, hammer lock keys, cable lock, papers and original shipping box numbered to the gun.

Near new with only a faint drag line on the cylinder and slight collector type handling marks. A very nice, limited production Model 27-8, new Registered Magnum.
