Manufactured in 1986 with only 4782 made and the only 44-40 to be produced by S&W since 1940. Equipped with a red ramp front sight and a white outlined adjustable rear sight, a casehardened target hammer and trigger, and a six round fluted cylinder. Barrel marked "1836 TEXAS 1986", the right side of the frame has the State of Texas outline, 1986 and 1886 above and below and a Wagon inside all highlighted in gold. Equipped with Goncalo Alves target grips that have S&W medallions. Complete in a French cut commemorative basswood presentation case with cleaning rod, papers, and with "1836 Texas 1986", outline of Texas, wagon, S&W logo, and the Texas Independence Association Sesquicentennial logo all branded on the lid. Also has blue S&W box and shipping box numbered to the gun.
