Manufactured in 1980 to commemorate the city of Los Angeles this revolver features a red ramp front sight and adjustable white outline rear sight, casehardened hammer and trigger, six round fluted cylinder, and fancy smooth presentation grips with S&W medallions. The right side of the barrel is marked in gold with "1781 CITY OF LOS ANGELES/ 200th ANNIVERSARY 1981" and the right side plate is marked with a gold badge with "POLICE OFFICER / LOS ANGELES POLICE/ 1981". Complete in a French cut royal blue velvet lined wooden presentation case with a LAPD medallion coin, and a S&W Academy patch. The case lid is branded with an emblem that reads "LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT/ TO PROTECT AND SERVE".

Near new in box with a faint drag line on the cylinder. The outside lid on the case has an area for a plaque to be inset in the lower right corner. Either the plaque is missing or never inserted, otherwise the case is excellent with light handling marks.
