Description:

1) 35" tall wood carving of two Indians, signed and dated "Willard/ Morin/ © 75." Fair, with damage to the sides. 2) 24 1/2" tall wood carving of an Indian in wolf headdress, signed "Willard/ Morin/ 74". Excellent. 3) 23" tall wood carving of an Indian in bear headdress, signed "75/ Willard/ Morin". Very good. 4) 21 1/2" tall wood carving of an Indian with a long feather in his hair, signed "Ivy/ Morin/ 72" near the bottom. Very good, with some cracking and chipping on the feather. 5) Tomahawk, with brass head, bone tip, and a superb green tinted tiger stripe walnut. 21" long and 7 1/2" wide, with brass tack decoration, two small silver initial plates and two brass plates. The 7-7/8 inch tall head is scroll engraved, with file work along the top and a non-functioning tobacco bowl on the back. On the top cap is a signed scrimshawed panel of an Indian. Excellent. 6) Deep wood carving of an Indian in a buffalo hat, 18" x 7" x 5", signed "Willard Morin/ 72" towards the bottom. Very good. 7) As 6, 17" x 5" x 3 1/2", and dated "74". Fair, with a chip from one of the horns missing, and a section of the backing gone. 8) 17 inch tall wood carving depicting a tornado with a bearded man's face. The back is signed "R. Lopez". Excellent 9) As 8, good. 10) Tomahawk, 17 1/4" long, with a fine tiger stripe pattern to the shaft, which is decorated with brass and silver nails, two silver plates, and two scrimshawed panels of spears and a peace pipe. The head is chiefly brass, with iron cutting edge and decorative bowl, light scroll and file work, and a banner reading "PEACE/ AND/ FRIENDSHIP" on the right side. On the cap is a signed scrimshaw Indian. Excellent. 11) Painting on sandstone of an Indian titled "Buffalo Man" on the back, and signed "Norma Jean" on the front. Excellent. 12) Statue of a steer skull with an Indian in robe and headdress located between the eye sockets. Very good, with some light wear. 13) Framed print on porcelain of a downed buffalo, with Indian on horseback in the background. The artist's signature "R.J. Onderdunk" is in the lower left hand corner. "12x9-3/4" is on the reverse, obviously the size. 15" x 17 1/2" frame. Very good, with some scratches and pressure dents on the frame.
