Description:

39 1/2" long by 9 1/8" tall, with 1/2" thick wooden frame. The bottom of the picture is marked "No. 62-E" at the left, " The Miller Studio/ Augusta, Ga./ By Gravelle" at the right, and "Retreat and Parade of Student Officers M.O.T.G. - Camp Greenleaf, Ga. - Aug. 19 -1918/ Col. J.C. Gregory, Commanding, Lieut. Shaw, Adjt.". The photograph is dominated by an assembled group of men organized by unit, 3-5 ranks deep, with the marching band at the extreme left of the photo and the right side of the formation coming within 3" of the photos edge. Also visible are a large number of buildings and a field of tents, with some more uniformed men saluting, along with a few civilians. In very good condition, with some light cracking, and fading in the lower left corner.
