Manufactured in 1938, with only 16,000 produced between 1938 and 1944. Pinned front sight and adjustable rear target sight with flat sided heavy barrel. "MATCH TARGET" is stamped on left side of barrel with bulls-eye and "THE WOODSMAN" on frame. Checkered wood "Elephant Ear" grips with Colt medallions. Correct ten round detachable magazine marked "MATCH TARGET MOD." with manual.

Excellent condition, with 99% plus bright original finish. Grips are also excellent with solid "Elephant Ear" grip extensions, with no cracks. This pistol is in pristine condition, and shows no evidence of wear considering it was manufactured nearly seventy years ago.
