Manufactured in 1962. The sides of the side and frame have a high-polished blue finish. The top of the slide and the grip straps, bottom of the frame and trigger guard have a satin blue finish. The left side of the slide is marked: "GOVERNMENT/MODEL" in a two-line block followed by "COLT", and "AUTOMATIC/CALIBER 45" in a two-line block followed by the Rampant Colt. The right side of the slide is marked with the one line address and the serial number on the frame. The magazine is marked: "COLT .45/AUTO" on the base. The checkered, plastic grips have the molded Rampant Colt in the center. Complete with the original Colt "wood grain" box numbered to the gun, a 50 count box of Monark 45 automatic Match ammunition and a Colt 22 caliber conversion kit consisting of the slide assembly with an adjustable Colt Accro rear sight, barrel, floating chamber, ejector, recoil spring, slide stop and magazine. The accompanying factory letter confirms the guns configuration, except for the grips which are "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as one to City Gun And Key in Birmingham, Alabama on June 14, 1962 and that it was shipped with a 22 caliber conversion kit.

The pistol and conversion kit are near new in the box. Both boxes are excellent with light corner wear. A rare new in the box Government Model with the new in the box conversion kit it was originally shipped 45 years ago.
