This saddle ring carbine has a antique brass finished receiver that is factory roll marked engraved on both sides with fine scroll engraving and a nice border pattern. Both sides have the names of John Wayne’s more famous movies listed at the edges just inside the border engraving. The right side shows John Wayne on a cattle driver, and the left side has a full stagecoach scene from his 1939 movie "Stagecoach". The barrel bands and large loop lever are also antique brass. The forearm and buttstock are semi-fancy walnut with standard checkering and a medallion showing the bust of John Wayne on the right side buttstock. The receiver tang shows his signature and barrel is marked "DUKE- ONE OF ONE THOUSAND". Included with this carbine is a walnut red velvet lined locking presentation case with key. Also has original box and cardboard box for the walnut case. This originally came from the Michael Wayne estate, John Wayne's son. This is the more rare model of the John Wayne commemorative and highly sought after. Even more rare, having come from John Wayne's son's estate.

Near new in box. The presentation case has a number of light scuffs overall, however remains in excellent condition.
