Issued to the Rhode Island State Police. Marked below the cylinder on the left side of the frame "R.I.S.P. 166". Features a red ramp front sight with an white outlined adjustable rear sight. This gun has the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder that many collectors prefer. Equipped with a six round fluted cylinder, checkered hammer, serrated trigger, checkered grips with S&W medallions, and a butt swivel. Furnished with unnumbered blue S&W box. Manufactured in 1976.

Excellent, no finish loss with a light drag line on the cylinder, small amount of carbon buildup on the bottom side of the topstrap and in the cylinder, and light handling marks. The grips are near new with slight handling marks.
