Manufactured circa 1977, this model was introduced in 1952 and discontinued in 1986. Standard markings on alloy frame and marked "AIRWEIGHT/38 SPL. CTG." on the right side of the barrel. Serrated ramped front sight with square notch rear sight. Serrated trigger and checkered hammer are casehardened, six-shot fluted steel cylinder. Checkered grips with Smith & Wesson medallions.

Excellent, with the exception of the following note. A faint drag line on the cylinder and light handling marks. Note: The frame is cracked at the forcing cone. R.I.A. highly recommends the revolver be examined and repaired by a qualified gunsmith before firing it.

The 20-2 revolver was manufactured from 1961 until 1966. Equipped with a round blade front sight with square notch rear sight, a casehardened hammer and trigger, a six round fluted cylinder, and checkered diamond grips with S&W medallions. Markings indicate this gun was factory refurbished in 12 of 73. The backstrap is marked "AUSTIN PD 246"

Very good as factory refurbished showing only light collector type handling marks, and a light drag line on the cylinder. Traces of the case colors remain in protected areas of the hammer and trigger. The grips are excellent with only very light scratches and light wear to the checkering.
