Manufactured in 1937. Features King patented brass bead blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights, standard markings, and a King patented barrel weight system beneath the barrel (one barrel weight installed) which was likely installed by King Gun Sight Company. Fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 4 1/2 inch barrel in .22 caliber, blue finish, and type of stocks not listed when shipped to J. E. Haseltine & Company in Portland, Oregon, on August 28, 1937, as a lone shipment. J. E. Haseltine & Co. was a family operated hardware store brand that operated from 1883 to 1961, and was noted as one of the first hardware retailers to offer automotive components. The letter goes on to state: "Records indicate this firearm shipped as a standard stock item. No special sight or weight noted."

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with minor thinning and spotting on the slide and gripstraps, light edge wear most noticeable on the counterweight collar, and limited light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
