Manufactured in 1924, this is an outstanding example of a Colt New Service revolver. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration including the desirable .45 Long Colt caliber, grips not listed, sale to Union Hardware Co., and shipment to Simmons Hardware Co. in St. Louis on 16 September 1924. The barrel has the standard markings and the Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame. The trigger guard has a verified proof and "3" on the left. It is fitted with blade front and frame top groove rear sights, a lanyard loop on the butt, and a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in ovals at the tops.

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original high polish blue finish with a few scattered handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and some very slight edge wear. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
