This c. 1860-1870 Lefaucheux type revolver has a triangular front sight, "BONNERAVE & CHAPON BUENOS AYRES" retailer mark along the top of the barrel, a "crown/G" on the right side at the breech, scroll engraving, conjoined "HD" on the front of the frame, "7" on the loading gate and back of the cylinder, Liege proofs on the latter, "DD" and "T" on the back of the frame under the checkered and floral carved walnut grips, and a lanyard ring on the butt. Bonnerave & Chapon appear in records for Buenos Aires in the mid-1860s as settling cutlery and arms shop at Florida 55, and J. Chapon is listed as having a haberdashery nearby at Florida 69.

Fine with mostly silver-gray patina, some faint oxidation, crisp engraving and retailer marking, and minor overall wear. The grips are also fine and have distinct checkering and carving and minor handling and storage wear. Mechanically fine.
