Manufactured in 1933 the Astra Model 900 has a slightly different lock work, but in overall appearance and operation very closely resembles the Mauser '96 Broomhandle Pistol, and was a popular item both in Europe and further abroad, most famously China. Blade front and 1000-yard tangent rear sights, with a large ring hammer, Spanish proofs on the right side of the barrel, chamber and frame, and the three-line Astra nomenclature, patent date and the Guernica address on the side plate. Fitted with 12-groove matching numbered walnut grips and lanyard ring. Included with the lot is a hardwood shoulder stock with a niter blue finished mounting iron and a matching serial number stamped inside the lid.

Excellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing scattered minor spotting and handling marks. Strong niter blue finish is present on the small parts. The excellent grips and stock show some light scuffs and dings, with minor spotting on the otherwise excellent mounting iron and hinge. Mechanically excellent.
