Built with a blued steel barrel featuring a single nickel bead sight, rear sighting flat marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND./98. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.", band of engraving at the breech, original Birmingham proofs on the flats, modern Birmingham proofs ahead of the flats, import mark under forend, choke constriction of .020 inches, and a 2 3/4 inch chamber with extractor. The barrel is mated to a casehardened boxlock action which displays light border engraving and features a tang mounted automatic safety. The likely replacement triggerguard is numbered "20075". The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and checkered forend with a horn tip and a straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and a 1 1/2 inch extension with checkered bare butt.
