Manufactured in 1939 and subsequently restored/refurbished. The top of the receiver has been factory matted. The left side of the Routledge bore barrel is marked "-WINCHESTER/PROOF STEEL-MODEL 61- WINCHESTER-/-TRADEMARK- .22 L.R.- FOR SHOT ONLY" at the breech. The top of the barrel and top left of the receiver are stamped with a Winchester factory proof. The serial number "46981" is stamped on the frame and trigger guard with a "W" stamped beneath. The magazine tube has the correct triangular loading port, and the upper tang is correctly drilled and tapped for the addition of a sight with filler screws in place. Grooved flat bottom forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine with 98% plus professionally refinished blue, some light handling marks, and a very faint trace of edge wear. The wood is and old refinish with some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
