Manufactured in 1913. The rifle is fitted with a pinned blade front with gold insert and an elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel with the nickel steel marking and "303 BRITISH" on the left side. The .303 British caliber was added to the Model 1895 line in 1898 and is rare compared to the more common Russian and American calibers. A Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on the receiver, and the barrel lacks this proof. The receiver has the standard Winchester legend, and the upper tang has the three-line model/trademark information. Mounted with plain walnut forearm and straight grip stock. The stock is fitted with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Includes two extra barrels: a period custom made 24 inch barrel in .405 WCF (lacks a Winchester factory oval proof) and 24 inch barrel in .35 WCF (Winchester factory oval proof present). The leather bound takedown case with the initials "J.E.S." embossed on the exterior holds the entire set and contains a box of Winchester .303 British cartridges (20/20), a box of Winchester .35 WCF cartridges (20/20), a box of Winchester .405 WCF cartridges (20/20), oiler, cleaning rod, powder measure, tool, two small containers, and tin of Young's 303 cleaner.

Very good. The barrel retains 60% period refurbished blue finish and the remaining surfaces retain 40% original blue finish with smooth brown-gray patina on the balance and touch up blue on the takedown collar. The refinished forearm is very good with limited handling marks. The buttstock is fine with a small chip at the upper tang and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The .405 WCF barrel is refinished, retains nearly all of the blue, and has minimal handling marks. The .35 WCF barrel retains 95% original blue finish and has minor handling marks on the forearm. The case is very fine.
