Manufactured in 1882. Features a dovetailed blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, standard two-line address and King's patent marking on top of the barrel, script serial number towards the rear of the lower tang, and straight wrist buttstock and forearm with blued steel cap and buttplate.

Very good with attractively aged patina on the fine frame, strong original nitre blue on the loading gate, significant original blue finish in the protected areas and otherwise mostly dark brown and gray patina on the steel overall, some mild oxidation, and generally mild wear. The wood is very good and has mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
