Description:

The smoothbore, Damascus barrel has a nickel-silver bead front sight, "J.C. REILLY NEW OXFORD ST LONDON" and a burst pattern on top, ribs at the breech, and a scroll engraved breech plug. The standing breech has scroll and burst engraving. The flat lock is signed "REILLY" and also has scroll engraving as does the furniture. The lower tang has the serial number. The half-length stock has a horn forend cap, checkered wrist, and vacant nickel-silver wrist escutcheon. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection; Property of a Gentleman

Rating Definition:

Very good overall with mostly smooth brown patina, some light pitting, and general mild wear. The refinished stock is also very good with crisp checkering, nice figure, and a filled spot in the butt. Mechanically excellent.
