Description:

The smoothbore, Damascus barrel has a bead front sight "GEOE ALLEN ST MARYS SQUARE BIRMINGHAM" signed on the concave sighting flat, ribs at the breech, and a scroll engraved breech plug with platinum plug. The flat lock is signed "GEO. ALLEN" and has a partridge scene and scroll panel scene engraving. The trigger guard has a floral finial and a dog scene on the bow. The sterling silver wrist escutcheon is marked "H.L. PETERS." The buttplate has scroll engraving. The stock has a dark horn forend cap, checkering, and attractive figure. 14 inch length of pull. Rating Definition:

Very good as period refinished mixed with patina, some mild pitting, repaired hammer, aged patina on the silver, and crisp checkering on the fine highly figured stock. Mechanically excellent.
