This attractive modern custom cased set contains a 22 bore double rifle, a pair of attractive engraved and carved boxlock percussion pocket pistols, a powder flask, 22 bore and 36 bore ball molds (latter doubling as a loading rod), cap tin, measure, bore brush, takedown rod, ornate carved container and nipple wrench, and a key. The double rifle is signed "Fni P. Lepage Moutier a Paris" on top of the rib indicating it was finished by the famous Le Page shop in Paris under Gilles Michel Louis Moutier-Le Page c. 1842-1868. The underside of the browned Damascus barrels are struck with Liege proof marks. The rib is also fitted with a dovetailed front sight with small bead and a dovetailed three-leaf rear sight (one standing, two folding). The locks and furniture feature scroll and border engraving. The stock has a checkered wrist. Sling rings are fitted to the underside of the butt and the middle ramrod pipe, and the rifle is equipped with an iron ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Very good with light "tobacco" brown refurbished finish and Damascus patterns visible along the barrels, mostly gray patina overall, some minor oxidation/pitting, and general mild overall wear. The stock is fine and has distinct checkering, numerous dings and scratches, and edge wear. Mechanically fine. The custom case and accessories are very good with generally minor age and storage related wear.
