Description:

Manufactured by the London Armoury Co. c. 1856-1866 and retailed by Thomas Jackson. Features a dovetailed blade front sight, integral notch rear sight at the rear of the top strap, "THOs JACKSON. 29. EDWARDS STt PORTMAN SQUARE. LONDON" signed across the top strap and barrel, "L.A.C." on the upper left barrel flat, London proof marks, loading lever on the left, "34,253./R." on the cylinder, "B-18,506/ADAMS' PATENT No 34253.R." on the right side of the frame, double line borders, nitre blued sliding safety and trigger, checkered walnut grip, and blued pommel cap. In an oak case with a dog and coronet crest inscribed on the lid escutcheon, Thomas Jackson & Son trade label, green baize lining, brass double cavity bullet mold with blued sprue cutter, James Dixon & Sons oiler and flask, Eley Bros. cap tin, ebony handled nipple wrench with pick, cleaning rod, and tin of bullets.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus original blue finish with fading mainly on the trigger guard and pommel cap and smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, light scratches, and general mild handling and storage marks. The grip is also very fine and has a few dings and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically fine. The case and accessories are fine with age and storage related wear, glued repair to the back edge of the lid.
