Description:

Originally the main sidearm of Poland's military, the VIS-35 was rebranded the P.35(p) and pressed into service by the Germans following their invasion and occupation of Poland. A number of early production P.35(p) pistols were routed to the Kriegsmarine's North Sea depot; while not listed in Jan Still's "Axis Pistols", this pistol is just one digit off (6181) from a documented Kriegsmarine Radom. Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, with the one-line Radom marking on the left side of the slide, along with the German model marking and proofs. with "WaA77" on both the slide and frame. The frame, slide and extractor are matching numbered, with the replacement barrel numbered "975". A set of Kriegsmarine markings have been applied through the bluing on the frame, with a "N" on the frontstrap and "eagle/swastika/M" on the left side. Fitted with a set of checkered "FB" and "VIS" grip panels. Included with the lot is a pair of extra grips (one checkered "FB" left panel and a smooth right panel), a modified brown leather holster and an extra magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 80% plus original blue finish, with areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear, and minor spotting and handling marks. The correct replacement grips are excellent, with some chips and scratches. Holster is good as modified, with minor tears and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
