Built with blued steel chopperlump barrels featuring a ramped blade front sight, "E. VERATSCHNIG.9173.AUSTRIA" marked on the sunken portion of the rib, fixed gold centerlined rear sight and German style claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-C 1.5-4.5x18mm scope in engraved rings on the engraved rear quarter rib, import mark under forend, wedges of scroll at either breech, 1990 dated Austrian proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are matted to a highly attractive coin finished sidelock action which displays near full coverage tight scroll engraving surrounding sections of deep cut broad scrollwork surrounding a gold inlaid "JEV" monogram before spilling off of the action onto the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The rifle features bushed firing pins, dual triggers (front is single set), and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "S" indicator. The rifle is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with a carved scroll flourish at the rear of the checkering and a checkered bare butt. Included is an Aimpoint Model 5000 XD red dot on properly fitting claw mounts. Length of pull 14 9/16 inches (cast-off). Weight 9 lbs. 1 oz. (with scope).

Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with a few tiny freckles on the barrels, a few areas of dried grease on the action, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Both optics are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
