Built with blued steel barrels featuring a beaded blade front sight with flip-up moon bead, two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight, German style claw mounts holding a period Zeiss scope, and chambers with a single extractor. The shotgun barrel features a chamber which measures 2 3/4 inches and a choke constriction of .038 inches. The barrels are fitted to an attractive casehardened bolstered scalloped boxlock action which displays tight scroll engraving on all sides and extending onto the toplever and upper tang. The gun features double single set triggers, cocking indicators, a Greener style safety, and a tang mounted selector. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with horn inlaid drop points, shadowline cheekpiece, blued cartridge trap with an engraved adelskrone (duke's coronet), and horn grip cap and buttplate. Included is a letter of valuation from the late George Douglass of Coast to Coast Guns in which he states the rifle is chambered for the 10.75x53 cartridge.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 97% professionally reapplied blue finish, traces of original case colors with the balance a fine grey, and scattered minor handling evidence. There is a tiny crack off the upper tang, otherwise the wood is also very fine with a few light marks and sharp checkering. Scope optics clear. Mechanically excellent.
