Manufactured between 1978 and 1983, as one of a mere 51 sets of Special Commemorative edition double action revolvers. The Crusader revolver was designed as a way for High Standard to capitalize on the big bore craze started by Clint Eastwood's iconic role in Dirty Harry. To celebrate the new revolver commemorative sets, such as these, were produced. The sets consisted of a .44 Magnum and .45 Colt revolver engraved with floral scroll on a punch dot background on the barrel, frame, and cylinder with intertwining line motifs on the underside of the barrel and around the barrel markings. A gold inlaid knight mid sword stroke is inlaid on the sideplate with "CRUSADER" engraved on the sword. The revolvers feature blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights and are fitted with one piece walnut grips. Included with the revolvers are the original boxes and display cases.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, and a faint partial cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. Box and case are very fine.
