Description:

Manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker on a rough forged receiver marked "G. 43 duv 44." on the left. Hooded blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated from 1-12. Both the receiver and bolt carrier are forged and machined, with the manual catch on the right side of the carrier and hollow cocking knob. Smooth pistol grip laminated stock with a cupped trapdoor buttplate. Matching serial number marked on the receiver, bolt carrier, electro-penciled on the bolt and extractor, and stamped on bottom of the renumbered to match replacement buttstock. The stock has no Waffenamt stamps visible. Right side mounting rail fitted with a ZF4 scope. The left of the scope body is marked "Gw ZF4/45498/ddx.(triangle)" in three lines. Unnumbered reproduction scope mount base with an "eagle/214" proof. "aye" code "G43" marked magazine. Fitted with a brown leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 70% original blue finish with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance with some surface freckling. The magazine retains 70% original black painted finish. Stock is very fine with scattered scratches mostly concentrated on the handguard, and some areas of grain separation on the sides of the stock. Mechanically excellent.
