Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950 Target in Scarce .45 Colt with Factory Letter and Box

The included factory letter lists this revolver as being shipped on November 10, 1954, with the caliber marked as .45 Colt. Page 167 of "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" third edition lists only 200 of these revolvers as manufactured in .45 Colt. This example is fitted with a target blade front sight, fully adjustable rear sight, and checkered target grips with S&W medallions. Matching serial numbers are stamped on the barrel, cylinder, and butt. Includes original S&W maroon box with "45 COLT" hand marked on the label and "COLT" hand marked on the bottom. ConditionExcellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with light handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line. Grips are very fine with a couple light dings and scratches and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.
