The top barrel flat is marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION,N.Y." with the desirable "NRA2001" serial number on the top right of the receiver, which also shows 50% coverage, masterfully executed, floral scroll engraving. The engraving continues on the barrel at the muzzle and breech, forearm nose cap, buttplate, breech block, and hammer, as well as the spirit level globe front and tang mounted peep sights. Mounted with a magnificently contrasted, multipoint checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with shadow-line cheek piece. The inside of the forearm is signed "PATRICK BIELANSKI/04-15-2001" and "TERRY SLOCUM/TOOLMAKER".

Excellent overall, retains 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minimal handling evidence. The finely figured wood is also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
