Manufactured in 1920, this is an excellent example of a Winchester Model 1895 rifle. There are Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, as well as a factory matted section on top of the receiver ring. The left side of the receiver has the standard two-line address and patent dates. The two-line nickel steel marking is on the upper left of the barrel followed by the caliber marking. The upper tang has the three-line model and trademark information, and the serial number is marked on the lower tang. It is fitted with a ramped blade front sight and an elevation adjustable notch rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth Schnabel tip forearm with an ebony insert and a straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge/handling wear showing a grey patina. The wood is very fine with a couple hairline stress cracks in the right of the wrist, some deep scratches at the rear of the tang, and a few scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
