Manufactured c. 1911, this is a fine example of one of only 3,000 of the initial Remington-U.M.C. production over/under derringers before the introduction of the "L" serial number prefix, which was found on the remainder of the production. The single-line Remington Arms-U.M.C. address is marked on the barrel rib and the matching serial number is on the bottom of the barrel and the left of the grip frame. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, as well as a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a correctly labeled factory box.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some mild wear on edges and high spots showing a smooth grey patina. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with significant wear to the exterior and the label fine.
