Manufactured c. 1871-1888, with a total production of around only 15,000. This example shows factory floral scroll and border engraving on about 75% of the surfaces. The top flat of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line Remington address and Rider's patent marking. It is fitted with a German silver blade front sight and peep sight pierced through the breech block, and well as a pair of smooth rosewood grips. Includes a modern custom leather wrapped case with interior fitted for the pistol.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with some light wear on the magazine tube cap and the trigger showing some attractively aged brass and grey patina respectively. The grips are also very good with some scattered light handling marks and about half of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent. The modern custom case is very fine with minimal wear.
