Description:

The included factory letter confirms this revolver's current configuration as chambered for ".38/c" with a 4 inch barrel, blue finish, and stocks not listed, and lists its inclusion in a shipment of 2,007 to the transportation officer of Raritan Arsenal in Nixon, New Jersey, on February 17, 1943. Features round blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel is marked on the left with "COLT OFFICIAL/POLICE 38" and the two-line Colt address on top. The trigger guard is marked with "VP" and "p" proofs on the left side, with a double struck "ordnance bomb" proof is visible on the left upper side of the frame. Fitted with a set of correct un-numbered checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. Also includes the original Colt box with faint matching serial number and a cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with limited minor handing evidence and a faint cylinder drag line. Grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with limited edge wear and staining.
