The name Perazzi brings to mind a beautiful combination of both form and function. The company is famous for its competitive shooting pedigree but one must not forget the astonishing aesthetic works they are capable of as well, such as this pair of fine guns offered here. Both guns in the set are built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted flat vent rib which is marked with a gold inlaid "1" or "2" at the base, standard Perazzi markings, light engraving around the upper chamber area, 1999 dated Italian proof marks, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels of each gun are mated to an absolutely gorgeous coin finished sideplated boxlock action which displays exceptional highly detailed engraving depicting a number of nude women and animals. The left side has a woman's face with flowing hair with flowers, scroll, a leopard, a screaming eagle and a bare breasted woman laying in repose, the underside depicts a nude woman on her knees with a male and female lion all surrounded by leafy scroll and "EXTRA SUPER" inlaid in gold, and the right has two nude women with a variety of birds laced with scroll. The engraving is continued on the toplever which has a gold "1" or "2", flowery scroll on the upper tang, and a snipe and flowery scroll on the triggerguard. The gun is signed on the triggerplate to the right of the trigger with the signatures of both Angelo and Laura Galeazzi, both of whom are highly regarded Italian master engravers. Each gun features a single gold plated trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/selector with gold inlaid "1", "2", and "S" indicators. Both of the guns are mounted with a stunning beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved shoe and Deeley style release marked with a gold inlaid "1" or "2" and a straight grip stock with a Kick-Eez recoil pad. Included is a factory takedown case that houses the set. Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, a few tiny patches of spotting on the right of the action, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with minor storage type wear.

Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some patches of spotting on the action, a few freckles of spotting on the barrel rib, some areas with dried grease, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. A great chance to own a fine pair of not so typical Italian shotguns!
