Blued Special Steel barrels with 1979 dated Italian proofs, a single steel bead on the raised matted solid rib, "GIAN FRANCO SORIGLIONI" and "BOZZOLO MN. MADE IN ITALY" on the left and right barrels respectively, choke tube system (cylinder/cylinder), and a band of light floral engraving at the breach, and 2 3/4 inch chambers. The brushed bright sidelock action displays magnificently understated light floral border engraving on all sides, "FDA" monogram on the trigger guard in gold, bushed firing pins, a single trigger, and manual sliding safety. Mounted in a nicely figured, multipoint checkered walnut beavertail forend with Anson release and engraved fittings, and pistol grip buttstock with checkered bare butt. Includes a leather wrapped takedown case containing three extra chokes (improved cylinder, modified, full), and a choke tool. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved and measured at 18.4 mm (.724 inches); minimum wall thickness .027/.030 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 15 oz.

Very fine, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with some minor handling marks, some discoloration on the triggerguard, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some dings and scratches, a hairline crack coming off the left side of the lower tang and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine.
