Manufactured in 1925, the included factory letter confirms the current configuration of this pistol apart from the grips, which are listed as checkered wood, as well as shipment to the famous retailer Wolf & Klar in Fort Worth, Texas on 25 August 1925. The left side of the slide has the standard two-line address and patent dates, while the right has the two-line caliber marking. The left of the frame has the serial number and "1/VP" on the trigger guard, while the right of the trigger guard has "51". It is fitted with blade and notch sights, a pair of smooth pearl grips which were likely fitted by Wolf & Klar, and a nickeled magazine with caliber marking on the base plate.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered patches of light flaking, mostly on edges, serrations, and dark oxidation visible around/under the grips. The period replacement grips are very fine with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
