DAW, 57, THREADNEEDLE ST, LONDON" marked on top of the barrel, double "25" bore size marks indicating .577 caliber and Birmingham proofs at the left of the breech, "G.H.DAW." marked lock, sling swivels on the upper barrel band and lower tang, circular silver plate inscribed with initials on top of the wrist, "3226" stamped on the underside of the buttstock, checkered forend section, and checkered stock wrist. Includes a London Armoury marked brass muzzle cap.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 75% original blue finish with smooth brown patina on the balance, 60% original case colors on the lock with some patches of moderate surface corrosion on the hammer and buttplate, patterns of case colors visible on the trigger guard with scattered light freckling, and sharp markings and edges in the metal overall. Stock is very fine with crisp checkering, a few cracks around the buttplate, some light scratches, and defined edges overall. Mechanically excellent.
