Manufactured c. 1780 and featuring an approximately 18 bore brass barrel that flares to 1 inch at the muzzle with a side folding bayonet with a 9 inch blade secured and released via a sliding switch at the center of the "Jover" signed lock, Ordnance private proofs flaking William Jover's maker mark on the left, "Jover" signed on top at the breech, raised relief shell carving, acorn trigger guard finial, and martial and floral engraving.

Very with attractive aged patina on the brass, mottled gray and brown patina and light pitting on the lock and bayonet, crisp carving, a few cracks in the stock, and general mild wear overall. Mechanically fine.
