Manufactured c. mid-18th century. The large iron barrel has turned accents and faint markings at the breech. The bore is estimated and flares out to 2 inches at the muzzle. The rounded lock appears to be signed "I = LANE" in a banner at the center and has some scroll engraving. The brass furniture has scroll and foliate patterns, and the stock has raised relief carved scroll accents.

Good with mottled gray and brown patina and pitting on the lock and barrel, attractively aged patina on the brass, and general moderate wear. The refinished stock is good with distinct carving, a few repairs, general scrapes and dents, and split in the forend tip. Mechanically fine.
