Manufactured in 1906 with the standard two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel, "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left of the barrel, circled Rampant Colt on the left rear of the frame, serial number on the butt, and matching assembly number "362" on the frame, crane, and cylinder latch. Fitted with blade and frame groove sights, nitre blue trigger, hammer, and screws, and diamond pattern checkered grips, each numbered "372" on the inside.

Exceptionally fine, retains 75% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and 75% plus of the original nitre blue with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the barrel and grip straps. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
