Manufactured from 1915 to 1940 with this example being chambered in the desirable .44-40 Winchester caliber. The barrel has the two-line address/patent marking on top, "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side and "44-40 CTG" on the right side. The S&W trademark appears on the left side of the frame, and the right side of the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A." . Matching serial numbers are stamped on the butt, cylinder, and barrel.

Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with a series of dings and scratches on the barrel, some spotting, a couple light pits in the muzzle wear, and a cylinder drag line. Grips are very good with some dings and scratches and mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
