This pre-war Walther PPK is marked on the right of the slide with an eagle and swastika logo of the NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps/National Socialist Motor Corps) above "11/M67" of the 11. Sturm (Company) of Motorstandarte 67 located in Dortmund in Westfallen. The NSKK, the smallest organization of the NSDAP, served as a training organization in the operation and maintenance of automobiles and motorcycles and assumed important transportation responsibilities of NSDAP and SA members. The standard markings are preserved, with "crown/N" proofs on the muzzle and chamber. Fitted with a wraparound grip and magazines with matching colored extension base. This exact pistol is pictured on pages 44 and 45 of the included February 1974 issue of Guns & Ammo. The lot is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from noted author Jan C. Still's family verifying it was in his personal collection. According to a forum post from author Dieter H. Marschall in response to author Jan C. Still in relation to this pistol, another example of a .22 caliber Walther PPK with NSKK markings exists with serial number 862654, only four numbers away from this example with 862658. Provenance: Rhett Guthrie London Guns; The Jan C. Still Collection; Property of a Gentleman

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 99% period restored blue finish. Grip is also very fine with a small chip along the top left edge. Mechanically excellent.
