Description:

Manufactured in a serial number range of 2,000 to 19,000, the Model 1900 was DWM's first true commercial production Luger, and the "American Eagle" variant was intended specifically for export to the lucrative United States market. This specific example, serial number "2110", was the 110th manufactured, making it among the first Lugers ever available for purchase on the American market. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, "American eagle" crest on the chamber, "GERMANY" on front of the long frame, "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link, flat recoil spring, grip safety, recessed breech block, dished toggles with toggle lock on the side, narrow trigger, checkered thumb safety, and fitted with the later hold-open device. A matching visible serial number is marked on the underside of the barrel, along with a Swiss style cross on the left side, matching"10" partials on the takedown lever, side plate, trigger, grip safety, toggle links, breech block, and extension. Fitted with a pair of unmarked checkered walnut grips and a nickel plated magazine with unmarked walnut base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 85% original blue and 80% straw colors with light edge wear on the muzzle and raised points, mild thinning on the front and back straps revealing some smooth grey and brown patina, limited spotting, crisp crest on the chamber, and otherwise very minor handling evidence. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A standout example of a very early production DWM "American Eagle" Luger pistol!
