The Winchester stainless steel barrel was offered as an extra cost option, and later a free option on the Model 90 rifle from 1927 to 1934. Marble beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights, tenth style barrel inscription with the added "STAINLESS STEEL" marking, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, Third Model receiver with exposed locking lugs, standard markings on the upper tang, and matching serial numbers on the receiver and lower tang. The top barrel flat has been marked "LI-LL-IH-DO31N2". 12 groove slide handle and smooth straight grip stock with blue steel crescent buttplate.

Fine with 60% original black Japaned finish on the barrel, areas of edge wear, scattered scratches, and mild gray patina. The receiver has 40% original blue finish with areas of brown patina, some visible oxidation, edge wear, and cycling marks. The wood is also fine with scattered small dings, some larger rougher dents, and mostly brown patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
