These Bisley revolvers were designed by Colt with accuracy and target shooting in mind, two traits that also made them widely popular with those who depended on them for protection. Those traits, along with the caliber of this example, would have made it an ideal sidearm for a gunslinger, lawman, or rancher of the American West, who could pair it with a Winchester lever action in the same caliber. Manufactured in 1900. The barrel has the two-line Hartford address on top and "(BISLEY MODEL)/COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates marking followed by an encircled Rampant Colt. Matching serial numbers appear on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish with high edge wear and the grip straps mostly a smooth brown-gray patina. The frame and hammer retain 70% original case colors. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks mostly on the bottom and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
