Features winged blade front and T105 adjustable peep rear sights, World War II era Springfield Armory pattern wide base gas cylinder, absent gas cylinder lock with arsenal wax paper wrapped around the lock threads of the barrel, "B/S" cross slot screw, "D35382" operating rod, "D28287-19SA/A-9" bolt, "S-A-3-52" barrel also marked "P/P/T/W" with parkerized chamber, "12" follower, and an "6528290-SA" trigger housing with "C46008-3 SA" hammer, "SA-11" safety, and unmarked stamped guard. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock with faint remnants of an "ordnance wheel" visible on the left of the wrist, circled serif "P" and non-serif "P" firing proofs visible on the underside of the grip, and an open box "S.A." rebuild stamp on the left of the butt under the cheek rest according to an attached hang tag. Includes a M84 scope (serial number "41228") with post-and-crosshair reticle, sliding sun-shield, rubber eyepiece, M1D screw mount, and matching numbered inspection tag dated "APR 23 1969", along with a flash hider, sling, carrying case, and cleaning tools still sealed in original paper wrappers, and a shipping box, dated March 12, 1996, addressed from the U.S. Anniston Army Depot. Also includes a numbers matching shipping document addressed from the U.S. Anniston Army Depot, Director of Civilian Marksmanship (DCM) M1D order instructions, and an applicant acceptance letter dated "JAN 24 1996". It is worth noting on the DCM paperwork that the group is referred to as the "Civilian Marksmanship Support Detachment", as the DCM was privatized in 1996 and renamed the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine as arsenal upgraded to M1D specifications, retaining 98% plus parkerized finish with some minor surface rust on the stacking swivel, some dried grease, minor cycling wear, but otherwise limited minor handling marks. The stock is very fine as arsenal sanded. Mechanically excellent. The scope is excellent with clear optics. The accessories are also excellent.
