Manufactured in 1924, according to the table on page 279 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote, this is one of only 118 built in this configuration, with only 67 percent having ejectors like this example. Built with blued steel barrels featuring single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC.STEEL", standard markings on the flats, and chambers measured 2 9/16 inches with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened actions featuring standard GH engraving of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered splinter forearm with Deeley latch and engraved fittings as well as a pistol grip stock with a Parker grip cap, "HJH" in the silver inscription shield, and JOSTAM Anti-Flinch Recoil Pad. Includes a second set of matching numbered 30 inch 16 gauge barrels with their own splinter forend and 2 9/16 inch chambers. Very fine, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with scratches and loss concentrated at the breeches, 80% original case colors with the balance a fine grey, and otherwise light handling evidence. The revarnished wood is very good with numerous dings and scratches, added recoil pad, and mostly crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent.
