Manufactured in 1942 with ramped and hooded front sight and sight blank in place of the rear sight. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the receiver and on the barrel toward the breech end. A non-factory Lyman 56 peep sight is mounted directly to the receiver. Mounted to a nicely figured walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forearm with a checkered steel buttplate and black plastic "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO" grip cap.

Excellent plus overall with 98% original blue finish and an extremely minor spot of pitting on the right and left lower side of receiver above the lever pivot. Displaying some edge wear and cycling marks. Stock is also excellent with crisp checkering and very minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
