Manufactured in 1949, it has standard Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The left of the barrel has the standard proof steel, trademark, model, and caliber markings. The serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a hooded and ramped beaded blade front sight, an elevation adjustable notch rear sight, drilled and tapped holes with filler screws on the left of the receiver for a peep sight, and sling swivels on the forend cap and bottom of the stock. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered shotgun buttplate. Includes a leather sling.

Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original finish with some light muzzle wear and some scattered light handling marks and scattered specks of surface rust visible on the bottom of the forward portion of the frame. The wood is also excellent with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
