Bore Condition: The bore is frosted with some light pitting and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1876, the top of the barrel is marked with the standard Colt two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses while the left of the frame is marked "22 CAL". The frame and cylinder have flourishes of factory floral scroll engraving, while the barrel has dots and wavy lines. The serial number is marked on the butt and bottom of the barrel lug. It is fitted with a blade front sight and a pair of smooth antique ivory grips. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with some light flaking and flash pitting at the rear of the barrel and from of the cylinder and crisp engraving overall. The grips are also very fine with a couple minor handling marks and a couple hairline age cracks near the screw on the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
